Yinlun, an enterprise with a history of more than half a century and 30 years of heat exchanger experience, is the largest company of its kind in China. During the years of the economic reforms, Yinlun became an employee owned entity in 1997, and went public in 2007 (SZSE: 002126). The company’s product portfolio covers a wide range of heat exchangers including oil coolers, intercoolers, radiators, EGR coolers, cooling modules and aluminum die-casting. The company’s customer base is well diversified in the domestic and overseas markets. In a ten year span from 2001 to 2010, Yinlun’s total sales increased significantly from $13 million to $226 million. In the same time period, Yinlun’s export sales catapulted from $0 to $75 million.
To continue to excel in the industry and develop its own people, Yinlun has invested strategically in research and development areas. Yinlun has built three technical centers in China and one in the USA with first class design and test capabilities. Yinlun has also established ties with top domestic academic institutions, such as Shanghai Jiao-Tong, Zhejiang and Harbin Industrial Universities. Collaboration with Shanghai Internal Combustion Engine Research Institute in China and AVL (Anstalt für Verbrennungs-kraftmaschinen, Prof. Dr. Hans List) in Austria has helped the Yinlun designers’ engine knowledge tremendously. Yinlun’s efforts in these three areas have certainly ensured itself to stay above the competition.
